On behalf of Nabil Group of Industries, Eid gifts were distributed among two thousand workers working at various ghats in Abhaynagar, Jessore. The distribution ceremony was held on Friday morning (March 21) at the Nawapara Shankar Pasha Government Secondary School grounds.
The event was presided over by Abdul Ghani Sardar, President of Nawapara Fertilizer Dealers Association. The chief guest of the ceremony was Kamrul Islam Sihab, Director (Southern Region) of Nabil Group.
Special guests included Faraji Matiar Rahman, President of Abhaynagar Thana BNP, Kazi Golam Haider Dablu, General Secretary, Nurul Islam Babul, President of Abhaynagar Workers Welfare Federation, Masum Billah, President of Nawapara Municipal Youth Jamaat, Shams Nawroj Chishti, Owner of Chishti Trade and Transport, Nazmul Hossain, Manager of Nabil Group Nawapara Office, Senior Officer Abdur Rahim, and Ashikul Islam Dipu, Representative of Nabil Transport.
The event was conducted by student leader Ashikur Rahman Ashik.
In this regard, Nazmul Hossain, Manager of Nabil Group Nawapara Office, told Kaler Kantho, “Eid gifts, including food items, have been distributed among two thousand workers working at various ghats of Nabil Group. Each person received 5 kg Miniket rice, 1 kg Chinigura rice, 1 kg lentils, 1 kg flour, 1 kg atta, half a kg mustard oil, half a kg semolina, and dates. Nabil Group will continue such initiatives for low-income people."
