On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Nabil Group of Industries, one of the country’s leading consumer goods suppliers, has launched a food assistance program for 50,000 underprivileged, poor, and distressed individuals. Additionally, the company has also introduced the sale of its products at reduced prices throughout Ramadan.
The initiative was officially inaugurated on Saturday, March 1, at the Nabil Group R&D Center in Bamanshikar Khorkhori, on the outskirts of Rajshahi city. The event was presided over by Nabil Group of Industries’ Chairman, Md. Jahan Baks Mondal, and Managing Director, Agriculturist Aminul Islam.
During the event, Managing Director Aminul Islam Swapan emphasized the spiritual significance of Ramadan for Muslims, stating that it is a special opportunity for self-purification and devotion. However, he also noted that many businesses exploit this sacred month to maximize profits. In contrast, Nabil Group remains committed to the welfare of the country and its people. As part of this commitment, the group has taken the initiative to support at least 50,000 families with food assistance throughout Ramadan.
He further stated that the common business practice during Ramadan is to take advantage of market demand for excessive profit. However, Nabil Group has chosen to stand against such unethical strategies and has started selling its products at even lower prices than the predetermined profit margins. The prices of all Nabil consumer goods have been reduced, bringing relief to low- and middle-income families alongside the underprivileged. Nabil Group is proud to stand by the people of Bangladesh and remains dedicated to serving the country.
Chairman Md. Jahan Baks Mondal highlighted that during Ramadan, daily household expenses increase for both the rich and the poor. Recognizing this, Nabil Group has taken steps to support the underprivileged and, through its discounted product sales, is ensuring that lower- and middle-income families can also afford essential goods at reduced prices.
