Nabil Group and Sustainable Agriculture Foundation Bangladesh (SAF) have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen sustainable agricultural development, research, innovation and farmer-focused activities.
The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at the Nabil Group head office in Rajshahi on 18 May 2026, according to a press release.
Speakers at the event said coordinated efforts between the government and the private sector were essential to build a modern, technology-driven and environmentally friendly agricultural system.
They said such partnerships could open new avenues in Bangladesh’s agriculture sector and play an important role in enhancing farmers’ capabilities.
Under the memorandum of understanding, the two organisations will work jointly on agricultural research, technology dissemination, farmer skill development training, climate-resilient agricultural systems and food security.
They will also undertake initiatives to increase the use of innovative technologies in agriculture and improve sustainable production systems.
Israt Jahan, Director of the Group and Chairman of Nabil Feed Mills Limited, signed the agreement on behalf of Nabil Group.
Executive Director Farhad Jamil signed the agreement on behalf of SAF.
Participants at the event expressed their commitment to working together to make the country’s agriculture sector more modern, profitable and sustainable.
Nabil Group has been working to revitalise the agriculture industry and create employment opportunities across the country, particularly in the northern region of Bangladesh, the release said.
