Nabil Group of Industries has been playing a significant role in the supply and processing of food and agricultural products in Bangladesh for over a decade. The group is one of the largest importers of commodities such as wheat, lentils, peas, and soybean meal.

In the first eight months of this year alone, Nabil Group accounted for 24.47% of the country’s total wheat imports, 49.35% of lentil imports, and 56.83% of pea imports, solidifying its position as a major player in the consumer goods market.

These details were shared by the Managing Director and CEO of Nabil Group of Industries, Agronomist Md. Aminul Islam, during the Partners Meet 2024 event held on Saturday (December 7) at Nabil Industrial Park in Poba, Rajshahi.

The event was attended by senior officials from the administration and banks, journalists, professionals, and other distinguished guests.

Md. Aminul Islam emphasized that Nabil Group, known for its uncompromising ethics and quality, is not only a key importer but also an influential producer of consumer goods. Particularly in rice production, the group has emerged as one of the top enterprises in the country, currently ranking as the second-largest rice producer with a daily production capacity of 1,364 tons.

He further stated that Nabil Group is continually establishing new industrial facilities to promote agricultural industrialization and create employment opportunities. With activities spanning the food business, agribusiness, trading, and service sectors, the group provides employment to nearly 15,000 people across its 20 subsidiaries. Through this, Nabil Group directly supports the livelihoods of approximately 100,000 individuals in regions including Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chattogram, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Khulna, Rangpur, Dinajpur, and Naogaon.

In the 2023-24 fiscal year, the total value of imported goods by Nabil Group was $1.21 billion. As a result, the group has now joined the prestigious billion-dollar club, according to Md. Aminul Islam.

The event also welcomed over a thousand partners and dealers from various parts of the country, alongside employees from different levels of the organization who participated in the gathering.
