In celebration of the holy month of Ramadan, Nabil Group of Industries has launched a food assistance program to provide aid to 50,000 underprivileged, poor, and destitute people. Along with this, the sale of Nabil Group products at reduced prices has also been inaugurated for the entire month of Ramadan.

The program was inaugurated on Saturday morning at Nabil Group’s R&D Center in Bamnashikhar, Khorkhori, Rajshahi, by Nabil Group’s Chairman, Alhaj Md. Zahan Baks Mondol, and Managing Director, Aminul Islam.

In the event, Aminul Islam, Managing Director of Nabil Group, said, “The holy month of Ramadan is the most important for Muslims. This month offers a special opportunity for achieving piety and self-purification. However, many take this month as an opportunity to make extra profits. Nabil Group always conducts business for the welfare of the country and its people. That is why, during this sacred month of Ramadan, we have taken the initiative to stand by the country’s helpless poor and destitute. As part of this initiative, food aid is being provided to at least 50,000 families in phases.”

He further said, “The common business strategy during Ramadan is to exploit market demand for extra profit. We, however, stand in contrast to this unscrupulous tactic and have started selling products with even more discounts than the previously set profit margins. As a result, relief has been brought not only to the poor and helpless but also to lower and middle-income groups, easing their lives. Nabil Group is proud to stand by the people of this country. We want to remain dedicated to the welfare of the country and its people at all times.”

Chairman of Nabil Group, Alhaj Md. Zahan Baks Mondol, said, “During the holy month of Ramadan, the daily expenses of every family, whether rich or poor, increase. With this in mind, Nabil Group has taken the initiative to stand by the poor and helpless. Additionally, through the sale of products at reduced prices, Nabil Group has provided everyone, including lower and middle-income families, the opportunity to buy goods at a lower cost.” He also mentioned that this initiative will continue in the future.

It is noteworthy that Nabil Group of Industries has played a significant role for over a decade in the supply and processing of food and agricultural products in Bangladesh. This leading business group is a major importer of products like wheat, lentils, peas, and soybean. Last year, Nabil Group was ranked fourth in the country’s food product imports.
