On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Nabil Group of Industries has launched a food assistance program for 50,000 underprivileged, poor, and distressed individuals. At the same time, the company has also introduced the sale of its products at reduced prices throughout Ramadan.

The initiative was officially inaugurated on Saturday morning at the Nabil Group R&D Center in Bamanshikar Khorkhori, Rajshahi City. The event was presided over by Nabil Group of Industries’ Chairman, Alhaj Md. Jahan Baks Mondal, and Managing Director, Aminul Islam.

During the event, Managing Director Aminul Islam highlighted the spiritual significance of Ramadan, emphasizing that it is the most important month for Muslims, offering a special opportunity for self-purification and devotion. However, he also noted that many businesses exploit this sacred month to maximize profits. In contrast, Nabil Group remains dedicated to the welfare of the country and its people. As part of this commitment, the group has taken the initiative to provide food assistance to at least 50,000 families in phases throughout Ramadan.

He further stated that the common business practice during Ramadan is to take advantage of market demand for excessive profit. However, Nabil Group has chosen a different path, offering its products at even lower prices than their predetermined profit margins. The discounted sales initiative has brought relief not only to the poor but also to low- and middle-income families. “We are proud to stand by the people of Bangladesh and remain dedicated to their well-being,” he added.

Chairman Alhaj Md. Jahan Baks Mondal emphasized that during Ramadan, daily household expenses increase for both the wealthy and the poor. Recognizing this, Nabil Group has stepped forward to support the underprivileged while also ensuring that low- and middle-income families can purchase essential goods at reduced prices. He assured that Nabil Group will continue such initiatives in the future.
