The distribution of Eid gifts among National Press Club members has begun. The formal distribution ceremony took place on Sunday (March 23) at the Abdus Salam Hall of the National Press Club. With the support of Nabil Group, all members of the press club will receive these gifts.

The event was presided over by National Press Club President and Editor of Daily Kaler Kantho, poet Hasan Hafiz, and conducted by General Secretary Ayub Bhuiyan. On behalf of Nabil Group, Head of Admin Major (Retd.) Md. Paramuddin Hossain delivered a speech.

He personally handed over the Eid essentials to the attending members. As a token of appreciation, Hasan Hafiz presented a crest to the Head of Admin of Nabil Group on behalf of the Press Club.

Among the attendees were Management Committee members Kazi Rawnak Hossain, Shahnaz Begum Polly, and A.K.M. Mohsin. Representing Nabil Group were Executive Admin Saiful Kabir Salman and Public Relations Manager Md. Badruddoza.

Journalist Niaz Mahmud Sohel provided overall support for the event.

In his speech, President Hasan Hafiz stated, “For a long time, we were under autocratic rule and faced economic turmoil. However, under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Yunus, we have significantly overcome those crises."

He also acknowledged the contributions of expatriate remittance workers and the dedicated business community in overcoming economic challenges.

He further added, “For the first time in the history of the National Press Club, a business group has arranged Eid gifts for all its members. We hope this initiative will continue in the future."

Nabil Group’s Head of Admin, Major Md. Paramuddin Hossain, said, “Nabil Group has always been engaged in humanitarian work. We are working for the welfare of the country and its people. This year, Nabil Group is providing Eid gifts to nearly 50,000 families across Bangladesh."

He urged journalists to visit the sites where these efforts are being implemented and report on them in the media.
