MIS (Management Information System) Officer
Specific Skills

Responsible For
1. System Management
- Design, implement, and maintain the MIS infrastructure, including databases and software.
- Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity; perform upgrades and backups.
- Troubleshoot software issues and liaise with vendors for resolutions.
2. Data Management
- Collect, validate, and analyze data from departments to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Develop data entry protocols and automate processes to minimize errors.
3. Reporting & Analysis
- Generate standardized reports (financial, operational) and ad-hoc analyses using BI tools (MS SQL, Power BI, Excel).
- Create dashboards to visualize trends and support strategic decisions.
4. User Support & Training
- Train staff on MIS tools and troubleshoot user issues.
- Maintain user manuals and FAQs for system accessibility.
5. Process Improvement
- Identify system enhancements and research emerging technologies (e.g., cloud solutions).
- Propose cost-effective IT solutions to streamline workflows.
6. Compliance & Security
- Ensure compliance with data regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) and conduct audits.
- Implement security measures like firewalls and encryption.
7. Documentation & Collaboration
- Document system configurations, guidelines, and updates.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align MIS with business needs.
Experience & Technical Skills
Experience
- 3+ years in MIS, database management, or data analysis. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, BI tools (Power BI), and databases (MySQL, SQL Server).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros).
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related field. Master’s preferred.
