Launch of Product Sales at Discounted Prices and Food Assistance for the Needy During the Holy Month of Ramadan

On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Nabil Group of Industries has launched a food assistance program, providing support to 50,000 underprivileged and poor individuals. Simultaneously, a campaign to sell Nabil Group products at reduced prices throughout the month of Ramadan has also been inaugurated.

The program was inaugurated on Saturday morning at Nabil Group’s R&D Center in Bamnashikhor, Khorkhori, Rajshahi city, by the Chairman of Nabil Group of Industries, Alhaj Md. Jahan Baks Mondol, and Managing Director Aminul Islam.

During the event, Aminul Islam, the Managing Director of Nabil Group, stated, “The month of Ramadan is the most important month for Muslims. It is a special opportunity for spiritual purification and self-refinement. However, some people use this month as a chance to maximize their profits. Nabil Group always runs its business for the welfare of the country and its people. For this reason, we have taken the initiative to stand by the underprivileged and poor of the country during this holy month of Ramadan. As part of this initiative, food assistance is being provided to at least 50,000 families in phases."

He further added, “The usual business approach in Ramadan is to take advantage of the market demand and increase profits. In contrast, we have chosen to offer additional discounts on our products, even beyond the predetermined profit margins. This has brought relief to the poor and lower-middle-class families, allowing them to purchase goods at lower prices. Nabil Group is proud to be by the side of the country’s people and is always committed to the welfare of the nation."

The Chairman of Nabil Group of Industries, Alhaj Md. Jahan Baks Mondol, remarked, “During the holy month of Ramadan, daily expenses increase for all families, whether rich or poor. With this in mind, Nabil Group has taken the initiative to support the underprivileged. Additionally, through discounted prices, we have provided an opportunity for everyone, including the lower and middle classes, to purchase goods at a reduced cost." He also mentioned that such initiatives by Nabil Group will continue in the future.

It is worth noting that Nabil Group of Industries has been playing a key role in the supply and processing of food and agricultural products in Bangladesh for over a decade. This prominent business group is one of the largest importers of several products, including wheat, lentils, peas, and soybeans. In the last fiscal year, Nabil Group ranked fourth in the country’s food product imports.
