With the support of Nabil Group of Industries, the Center for Zakat Management (CZM) has implemented the Livelihood Development Center Paba Project under the initiative for poverty alleviation and human development.

As part of this initiative, a simple fund transfer ceremony was held for the second phase of Zakat fund distribution, under which 398 deserving families received a total of BDT 4.685 million in Zakat funds through the Livelihood Development Center Paba, Rajshahi Project.

During the event, Colonel (Retd.) Zakaria Hossain, Head of Corporate Affairs of CZM, highlighted the importance of the Livelihood Project and elaborated on the organization’s activities. He mentioned that since 2008, CZM has been providing various services to nearly 1.7 million people across the country.

The ceremony’s chief guest was Agriculturist Md. Aminul Islam, Managing Director and CEO of Nabil Group of Industries, while the event was chaired by Mr. Jahan Boksh Mondol, Chairman of Nabil Group of Industries.

In his speech, Mr. Mondol stated, “We are working for your welfare. Our support extends beyond Zakat distribution — we are also contributing to the development of mosques, supporting madrasa students, providing medical assistance, arranging marriages for underprivileged families, and creating employment opportunities to empower women towards self-reliance.”
