With the cooperation of Nabil Group of Industries, the Center for Zakat Management (CZM) has organized the second phase of fund distribution under its Jibika Paba Project, implemented in Paba Upazila of Rajshahi, aimed at poverty alleviation and human development.

The event took place on Saturday (October 4) at 11 a.m., where Tk 4,685,000 of zakat funds were distributed among 411 underprivileged families.

The program was presided over by Mr. Jahan Bokhs Mondol, Chairman of Nabil Group of Industries. The Chief Guest was Agriculturist Md. Aminul Islam, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Group of Industries.

Mr. Abdul Wadud, Program Manager of the Jibika Paba Project, delivered the welcome speech. During the event, several female beneficiaries shared their experiences and success stories. Their testimonies reflected how the project helped them become self-reliant and inspired them to fulfill their family dreams.

Mr. Enamul Haque, Assistant General Manager of CZM, and Colonel (Retd.) Md. Zakaria Hossain, Head of Corporate Affairs, highlighted the overall activities of the project. They informed that since 2008, CZM has reached around 1.7 million people with services in education, health, and livelihood development.

According to the report presented at the event, the CZM project provides food, medicine, blankets, educational support, house construction aid, emergency services, health camps, free medicine, maternal care, and eye treatment. It also distributes sanitary latrines and installs tube wells. Additionally, the project promotes livelihood opportunities such as livestock rearing, agriculture, small businesses, fish farming, poultry, and duck rearing. Furthermore, it helps beneficiaries move away from begging, offers interest-free loans, and provides regular skill development training.
